Watchfire hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its expanding manufacturing and office facilities on June 7, 2012. The company will add over 110,000 square feet of additional manufacturing space and 17,000 square feet of office space at its Maple Street location. The new facilities allow the company to consolidate its current three locations to one location, provide room for additional employees and will help Watchfire keep up with demand.

The site was developed to fill extra ad space for billboard operators. Advertisers buy ads for short periods of time, much like newspaper ads. It’s a convenient way for people to purchase short-term messages for wedding proposals, birthday wishes, short-term retail sales, “For Sale by Owner” properties and other one to three day needs.

Less than a year after an August 2010 warehouse fire in Yakima, Wash. burned so hot that it damaged the back of a digital billboard belonging to Metro Outdoor, the outdoor advertising company has replaced the billboard with Yakima’s only full-motion digital billboard.

Although the chain has restaurants in several locations throughout the state, only the Laconia location used the Trellis digital billboards to advertise their annual St. Patrick’s $9.99 corned beef dinner special. That location saw a 300 percent increase in business over last year, while business at the other locations remained flat.

About nine years ago, Allen Kasiewicz sold his engineering company that he had owned for 18 years. Looking for a place to invest the proceeds of the sale, he decided to purchase real estate. One of the properties he purchased was located on Route 3, the Daniel Webster Highway, in Belmont, N.H. The property is well located on one of the state’s most heavily traveled, non-divided highways. Included with the purchase of this land were three billboards. Kasiewicz, who had never been involved in the Outdoor Industry, was looking for the most part at the future of the land and not as much at the potential the Billboard Business presented.

The 19mm 10'6" x 22' billboard will be situated at a busy, 4-way intersection on US 52 in Burlington, Ohio — a major throughway between Huntington, W.Va. and Ashland, Ky. Expanding its footprint in the Louisiana market, Watchfire Digital Outdoor (watchfiredigitaloutdoor.com) today announced it has sold and installed four 19mm digital billboards at various intersections within the city limits of Lake Charles, La.
